Facilitator Training/ENS Courses

Facilitator Trainings

Facilitator Trainings are a series of educational/practical seminars designed to teach individuals the skills necessary to create, implement and process teambuilding and ropes course challenge activities. They allow each individual to develop her/his own style and build upon their leadership, communication and confidence with groups. Those that successfully complete the trainings/ENS courses will be hired as facilitators for Aztec Adventures Team Challenge.

ENS 139A Beginning Challenge Ropes
Course 900 1040 W

Equivalent of two hours of activity.
High elements, low elements and ground activities.  Course provides a comprehensive introduction for those new to facilitating team challenge/adventure programs.  Introduction to concepts and philosophy of challenge by choice, full value contract and experiential learning cycle, sequencing, framing and debriefing.  Course culminates in a weekend high & low ropes course training.  Footnotes: 16, H,  Weekend Field Experience Required

ENS 139B Intermediate Challenge Ropes
Course 900 100 W

Equivalent of two hours of activity.
Prerequisite: Beginning Challenge Ropes Course or permission of instructor Advanced facilitation of high and low elements.  Course builds on skills and concepts from 139A and emphasizes high element rescue techniques, set up and take down strategies, equipment selection and care, teaching and facilitating theory and techniques.  Course culminates in a weekend high & low ropes course training.
