Travelling in Small Groups:
At Aztec Adventures, all of our groups consist of 10-12 trip members, including two leaders. Traveling in small groups enhances group cohesion and provides more solitude and enjoyment. In addition our chances of viewing wildlife are enhanced.

Trail Etiquette:
Stay on designated trails, hike single file, allow uphill hikers to pass, yield to horses, do not cut switchbacks, and do not be afraid of the mud, that’s why you wear boots!

Wildlife Don’ts:
Never feed, upset, or bother the wildlife. Remember that you are the visitor and this is their home. Observe the wildlife from a distance.

Lunch/Snack Foods:
Your snack/lunch provisions should be repackaged before the trip to avoid additional trash throughout the outing (i.e. box of crackers can be repackaged into produce bags or ziploc bags) NOTE: Each person is responsible for packing out all the trash that she/he generates.

Smoking:
We encourage you not to smoke on our outings given that it bothers other trip members. If you must smoke, it would be greatly appreciated if you would do so away from the group. Keep in mind, you will have to pack out the cigarette butts with the rest of your trash.
