Aztec Adventures

For three decades, Aztec Adventures has been the outdoor adventure education and recreation program at San Diego State University. We hope to advance environmental preservation by providing small group experiences where participants are educated in both Leave No Trace Principles and introductory level skills in outdoor activities.

Simply put our mission is to EAT GOOD FOOD (all successful expeditions throughout history depended on this) BE KIND (to the natural environment and to each other) TELL THE TRUTH (be honest about our abilities and limitations) and MAKE A DIFFERENCE (we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our participants and staff through rewarding outdoor travel).

All Aztec Adventures outings include transportation, food, group equipment, safety gear, campground fees, permits, and highly trained outdoor leaders to guide your experience.

Registrations are accepted in person at the Aztec Recreation Center Member Services Desk, Online, or by phone at 619.594.6958.
